Snorkeling/Diving
With the warm tropical waters of the Great Barrier Reef at your doorstep, your retreat at East Bedarra Island is the perfect opportunity to explore one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Snorkeling equipment and the perfect launching pad come with the package at East Bedarra Island Retreat, however should you wish to go further afield to the outer reef and try scuba diving, there are many operators that offer a great chartered experience to this wondrous underwater world. Fishing
For those wishing to have a go at catching their own meal, hand lines and tackle are provided on East Bedarra Island Retreat. Private, fully catered charters can be arranged for the more avid fishermen. Please enquire upon booking your private retreat with us.
Kayaking
Kayaking is a fun way to enjoy some exercise whilst discovering the beautiful tropical waters of Far North Queensland. Early morning and sunset are ideal times to explore the island. If you are adventurous, and love the great outdoors, pack a small picnic and paddle around the whole island, stopping in at the various beaches along the way, keeping your eye out for sea turtles and whales (between July and September) on your journey.
Nature Walks
The various lookout points across the island are a spectacular place for solitude, meditation or to watch the sunrise. There are many walks to discover and most are best at low tide. Your personal caretakers will provide you with information on the area and can suggest some great picnic spots.
Swimming
Being an absolute beachfront property, a dip in these calm waters is a must. Both Doorila Bay and Coomool Beach are beautiful swimming spots, as is your own private saltwater plunge pool. The choice is yours…
Sky Diving
